Euan Shand
Euan celebrated 30 years in the Scotch Whisky Industry last year in 2004. Having been born and brought up at the Glendronach Distillery where his father was distillery manager, Euan's first job after leaving school was as a cooper at his 'home' distillery. He worked his way hrough all part of the distillery, ending up working for Teacher's in
Glasgow. However, it was always Euan's dream to own his own whisky company and this he did in 1990 and then was offered the fantastic opportunity in 2000 to purchase the prestigious Duncan Taylor company and their enviable stock of rare casks, the majority from the 1960's. Euan, as co-owner of DTC, divides his time between sales and production as well as cask selection, new product development and a great deal of
travelling the world.
